Ministry of Local Government Launches Four‑Day Staff Training ~ Building Skills for Better Service Delivery

MONROVIA, Liberia — August 17, 2026: The Ministry of Local Government, through its Office of Training and Capacity Building, has begun a four‑day program designed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and professional capacity of its senior and junior staff in Monrovia.

Opening the session, Madam Faith N. Siakor, Director of Training and Capacity Building, underscored the importance of the exercise, urging participants to take full advantage of the opportunity to sharpen their abilities and improve their performance.

Representing Minister Francis Sakila Nyumalin, Deputy Minister for Decentralization and Local Government, Hon. Edward K. Mulbah, reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to continuous staff development. He emphasized that enhancing employees’ professional capacity is vital to boosting productivity and ensuring the effective delivery of government services.

The training, which brings together staff across all levels of the Ministry, forms part of ongoing efforts to build a more skilled, efficient, and responsive workforce one capable of meeting the demands of modern governance and contributing to Liberia’s broader development agenda.
